Getting into Thailand might be a hassle. Even from UK they insist on seeing return ticket out of Thailand or non o visa if not and also asked me this time of I had vaping gear which is illegal here. If an airline lets you arrive in Thailand without these things they get heavily fined which is why they do it.

When you get to Thailand they are sometimes asking for the three requirements , proof of stay , liquid cash and ticket out, they will also ask to see your boarding pass so don't bin it! Everything depends on the immigration officers mood and your face and dress .

The airport WiFi is good here though and no probs with censorship unless you want to gamble, look at porn or reads the Daily Mail (I kid you not)

Watch out for the taxis at the airport , make sure they are on meter or use airport rail link into town. In taxi you will have to pay extra 50baht and pay road tolls, this is normal.

If you're flying into Don Mueang, forget above advice. There is a bus that goes downtown from just outside the gates or if you want a taxi, walk outside and flag one down. Always flag moving taxis down here they are less likely to try and scam you as the ones that just sit around do.
