Doing what you love vs reality

Sometimes, I wonder about the majority of the world. I have a feeling that a lot of people just work and live life because that is what they saw someone else doing. Or because they don’t know better. Or because they have bills to pay or mouths to feed.

Then, what about doing what you love? And how do you know if you love it?

Quite often, I see people just wanting to get by and “live” their life by being “normal”. But I do not understand that. How can you be “normal” when normal won’t get you far? All your dreams and aspirations are not “normal”. They are a reach.

Lets take, for example, a young adult that wants to pursue art. In my opinion, that young adult has all the opportunity in the world. He/she can really open his or her career in any direction. But in reality now, it is very tech dominant and artists have one of the lowest paying jobs. In addition to being low paying, they really need to grind to even find places to live. Is that really how life should be? It is extremely unfortunate but it is what the world is.
