Rainy day

Ever been beaten by rain before? Have you cancelled an appointment or meeting because of rain before? Well a lot of us have experience this and more before. Rains are good for a whole lot of reasons,

1. For the farmer - so he can grow his crops, nurture them and give us food at all times.
2. For those leaving along dusty roads - so the dust can reduce for them.
3. For those who'll have to walk miters / kilometers or miles just to fetch water for the house. Can go on and on....

But in OR at some place and communities, when it's cloudy they begin to cry and wonder what they'll do during and after the rain. Some people leave in slams, when it begins to rain, all they have to do is pack their stuff and leave until the place gets back to normal. I sometimes wonder what happens to them when the rainy season appears.

In as much us, some of us enjoy the rain others pray it never rains. Rains are good but the effect it leaves on others are unimaginable. People loose their homes because of rain, gutters get flooded because of rain, etc.

I sometimes wonder where people on the street find shelter during such moments. Classes are cancelled sometimes because of rains, businesses close down because of it, etc. Rains are good but when its too much many get frustrated.

This is nature, nothing can be done about it. But we all need to watch out for one another and also we should out in place all the necessary procedures to prevent flooding. We need to stop building at slam areas, clean and clear all gutters so as to prevent flooding. People need to stop dumping trash outside, all these trash sometimes end up in the gutters thereby choking them.

Prevention is better than cure.
Keep all possible flooding locations clean to make way for rains.
