What is Raiblocks?

Raiblocks is a currency encryption based on blockchain technology, which executes transactions instantly, with no transfer fees, and still offers unlimited scalability!

How does Raiblock work?

Unlike all other currencies, the account portfolios created in Raiblocks have their own blockchain, which stores the account transactions, the balance and their history. The blockchain of each account can be modified only by its user. For this reason, to send XRB to a person it is necessary to execute two transactions, one for which is sending the XRB subtracting this amount from your account, and another by who is receiving, adding the amount to the receiving account.

Can this network be malicious?

Yes! Like all other crypto currencies Raiblocks is not immune to attacks, but in its white paper the developers of Raiblocks discuss several ways that it is possible to attack the system and how the coin is designed to prevent these attacks. How is it ensured that the system will not be ununded from transactions and stop working?

Proof of Work (PoW) - Proof of work is used every time you carry out a transaction on your account, it means that you donate some of your processor to ensure that the transaction will be carried out. But unlike Bitcoin, Raiblocks uses PoW as a way to prevent spam in the system, and can be computed in seconds - so if someone wants to flood the system with transactions, they will have to pay a very high electricity bill.

What about scalability?

We have already commented here on the channel the incredible efficiency of Ripple in performing 1500 transactions per second. For Raiblocks this is a joke! This technology ensures 4,667 times more transactions per second than Ripple, which can make incredible 7,000 transactions in a single second. Is better! This coin has infinite scalability, and you can reach VISA and MasterCard in no time!

Bad points of this coin? (personal view)

We've only spoken well so far, so let's find an egg coat. Raiblocks has no way to execute smart contracts, and its developers have already said they will not add any such feature to the platform.
Another thing that is missing is to test this platform thoroughly. Bitcoin, which has existed for 9 years and has never been hacked, Raiblocks has never been hacked, has little time to prove its effectiveness. We believe it has not yet been tested to its fullest, but now with all the spotlight on that currency, surely more and more people will try to hack it (and hopefully they will not).
