So, What Did President Trump Do Wrong?

In listening to President Trump's initial comments about the violence in Charlottesville, I find the only thing he did wrong was tell the truth. The racist white nationalists applied for a permit to protest in a peaceful manner; the alt-left did not. Had the alt-left refrained from confronting the vile KKK, it's quite possible no violence would've broken out and no life would have been lost. I'm not condoning the behaviors of those who deem themselves the "greater race." In fact, their ideology disgusts me. However, because of our Constitution, they have the right to congregate peacefully and present their viewpoints, no matter how detestable.

President Trump pointed out that both sides should be held accountable for their actions. He's right. It takes two to tango. Of course the media hypes up the interaction of the favored alt-left and despised alt-right, painting the President as the poster child for the Nazis and skinheads. Nothing the President has said insinuates he's a racist, but facts don't matter to a leftist media hell-bent on tossing the President out of office. Sadly, they're still licking their wounds over Hillary's loss.

One of the keys to dousing the racial tensions, would be to ignore the media. If news agencies refused to show the violent protests, only broadcasting those being carted off to jail because they chose to throw a punch or swing a bat, the nation might return to a more relative calm. Sadly, our Country sits glued to the television allowing the media a platform to indoctrinate those unwilling to dig for the truth. Ignoring the media won't stop racism, but it won't promote it either.

Remember, there's only one race...the human race. Until we see who we truly are, people created in the image God, we will continue to fight this age old battle. Keep this in mind, "Red and yellow, black and white, they are precious in His sight..." The real issue at hand is that we forget God's color blind, and until we adopt His "eyes" our citizens will continue to jockey for who's superior. God only shakes His head at such behavior, because He plays no favorites and loves us all the same.

A lesson we all should learn.
