One of the great failures of the academic elites and their acolytes in the Western world is a rejection of a simple idea.

-- Here, you are judged by what you do. Not by who your father was. --

The crux of the dumb ideas of racism are embedded in the idea of "the sins of the father" or "collective guilt" or any other concept that places guilt on an individual due to his or her association with a group rather than his or her individual actions or behaviours.

This is an instinctual thing. We're programmed to see the ingroups and the outgroups.

I understand that.

But, intellectuals, thinkers, philosophers, academics, are supposed to be the people who think themselves out of our lizard brains and operate within the prefrontal cortex.

They're failing miserably.

It seems that most of "elite" academia is sucking collectivist cock. Racism is inherently collectivist.

Do you want to be judged by your ancestors, or by what you have done? Do you want people to assume your worth based on your skin color or your assumed past; or, do you want them to give you the benefit of the doubt, and see what you-- as an individual -- are?

This is the fundamental failure of the modern left.
