Aleksa's Book Review: Eloquent Rage

I've really begun to feel for and understand the species of antiracist. The stories of these authors, which are worryingly similar, speak to an incredible meme that has been able to adapt to this unused niche and carve one of the largest memescapes on the planet. More on that in a second.

This book is essentially what its title says: a long-winded rant, albeit well-worded, about the inequity of American and global society. The arguments are the ones seen in other books of this vein and are poorly argued at that - but that doesn't matter. What matters is the insight that this book will bring to the mindset of antiracist proponents.

They are automatons for the continuation of a meme as certain as I am for my own. As soon as somebody speaks of racism as "prejudice plus power" know you are speaking to a mere cog. Of course, these cogs will not rest until the universal handicapping of all brings about the equity they so dearly pursue. Still an awesome and powerful read.
