FLOWERS TO BRIGHTEN OUR CHRISTMAS/FLORES PARA ALEGRAR NUESTRA NAVIDAD
I would like to wish those of you who celebrate Christmas a wonderful holiday. I will get quickly into some photographs to enjoy. The above photograph was taken 5 years ago of my barn with the mountain in the background. It is a breath taking view, and even after all the years living here I am amazed by the beauty throughout the year. Yet, after a fresh snowfall it is fantastic.
Me gustaría desearles a los que celebran la Navidad unas maravillosas vacaciones. Iré directamente a algunas fotografías para disfrutarlas. La fotografía anterior fue tomada hace 5 años de mi granero con la montaña al fondo. Es una vista impresionante, e incluso después de todos los años viviendo aquí estoy sorprendido por la belleza a lo largo del año. Sin embargo, después de una fresca nevada es fantástico.
I could have led with this next photograph, yet I liked the idea of the snow scene today. I have chosen mostly yellow flower photos today to brighten things up.

Here is a photo of a beautiful lily that I took a couple of years ago. I believe this is one I am growing.

The next two are both from the Calendula family. The first I know as a marigold flower, and the second as a clendula flower.

I am using a Canon EOS Rebel T5 for most photographs, except where noted. I do have an older PowerShot Canon camera that I use from time to time. Wildlife is usually taken by a stationary trail camera that takes photos based on motion.
Estoy usando una Canon EOS Rebel T5 para la mayoría de las fotografías, excepto donde se indique. Tengo una vieja cámara PowerShot Canon que uso de vez en cuando. La vida silvestre es generalmente tomada por una cámara estacionaria de senderos que toma fotos basadas en el movimiento.
Hola @r2cornell, me sorprende la cantidad de nieve que puede caer en una nevada espero algún día visitar un sitio donde caiga nieve, las flores están bellísimas, me gusta el color de Sahara…

Este año tuvimos mucha nieve en octubre y luego casi se derritió. Luego tuvimos más en noviembre, pero cuando llegamos a diciembre el clima se calentó de nuevo. Ahora hace bastante frío, pero no hay mucha nieve en el suelo. Tenemos otros 3 meses, cuando podemos esperar más.

Y por el lugar donde vives. Para mí, que siempre he vivido en el trópico, ese escenario parece de película.
