Marx's Opium-less Black Bean Brownies
Welcome back my fellow revolutionists!
Remember when your mom told you not to eat dessert before dinner? This dish might actually be the exception. It's completely sugar/dairy/flour-free but the flavor is all there. Also, I've tried several other ice cream pairings and would recommend any sugar-free, chocolate based one (if you can't find the one pictured) as it works best with the chocolatiness of the brownie.
This dish takes slightly more effort than making brownies Betty Crocker style but obviously the result is something that you won't regret eating the minute you step on a scale. Not to mention de-clogging your brain from the greasy, sugar-loaded, carb-filled desserts that overrun the grocery isles.
I'd like to dedicate this recipe to the great philosopher and revolutionary Karl Marx. Although Marxism is somewhat controversial, Marx impenitently shined a spotlight on the true and oftentimes brutal nature of human beings; especially when it comes to wealth. He distinguished the great conflict between the ruling class (bourgeoisie) and the working class (proletariat) and the socioeconomic gap that has been widening ever since. The first of my two favorite quotes showcases the cause and effect we see or read about everyday (homelessness, drug abuse, suicide) and the second was planted like a seed in my mind years ago, which eventually led me to awake from my religious slumber:
"There must be something rotten in the very core of a social system which increases its wealth without diminishing its misery."
"Religion is the opium of the masses"
This is also my entry to @qurator for the Tasty Tuesday #95 competition.
Ingredients:
1 - Chocolate Bar (Lily's is made with stevia and cocoa butter)
¼ tsp - Salt (Kosher/Himalayan)
¼ tsp - Cinnamon
½ tsp - Baking Powder
¼ cup - Cocoa Powder
1 15 oz can - Black Beans (rinsed and drained)
2 - Eggs
1 handful - Walnuts (chopped)
1 handful - No Sugar Added Dried Cherries (chopped)
2 tsps - Vanilla Extract
⅓ cup - Coconut Oil (melted)
½ tsp - Liquid Stevia
Baking Items:
Coconut Oil
Oat Flour
Instructions:
1 - Preheat oven to 350°F or 176°C
2 - Lightly grease an 8x8 baking dish with the extra coconut oil, add in the oat flour, shake until covered and remove the excess
3 - Combine all of the ingredients (minus the walnuts and cherries) and blend until you get a smooth consistency
4 - Pour mixture into the baking dish and even it out
5 - Sprinkle the chopped walnuts and cherries on top and lightly pat them down into the batter
6 - Bake 25 to 30 minutes and check with a toothpick to make sure it comes out clean
7 - Let them cool for about 5 minutes and cut into 2-inch squares
8 - Serve with a no sugar added chocolate ice cream of choice. So Delicious is the best IMHO and it's also dairy free
9 - Enjoy!
Some of the wealthiest people I've met and interacted with throughout my proletariat life were also the most neurotic, pill-addicted, stressed out and self-obsessed individuals on the planet. As simple as it is to want a better and happier life by having more money, studies consistently show that this is hardly the case. The grass you're seeing on the other side isn't greener, in fact, it's not even grass at all but an actual drug induced, self-destructive hallucination designed to look like a beautifully kept lawn.
The true key to happiness is this: live minimally, invest in crypto, stay private, help others. And most importantly, NEVER stop cooking!
My contribution to the revolutionist movement will be to turn the recipes I post on this blog into The Revolutionist Cookbook and eventually open a restaurant where only cryptocurrency is accepted. Where tipping won’t be necessary as everyone will be paid full salaries and where simple and healthy ingredients will meet delicious cuisine. Like open source code, all of my recipes will be available to the public in full detail and any improvements offered will be embraced and possibly added to the menu in their perfected form. Any donations to the cause are much appreciated either by up-vote or wallet of choice below.

bid bot abuse, @steemflagrewards
Your content is decent, and you could have gotten this reward without buying votes. Try it and see, people are actively looking for good content that has no paid votes.
I curate for @curie and would have happily forwarded this for curation.
Exactly what we mentioned him. It's a great post but the moment he bought votes he instabanned him from receiving an ocdb vote. It's a pity cause he's a good author.

Hello. Currently there are a lot of curation groups and whales curating amazing content, there's no need to buy votes. The downvote you received is to discourage the buying of votes from bidbots. We kindly invite you to join us on the #NewSteem attitude, where good content receives votes and the organic content get the most attention. Buying votes hurts you, other authors and the Steem Ecosystem in general, please don't do it
If this is the case, why are bidbots still allowed on the platform? I'm sorry but this is bullshit. It's called advertising and as a decentralized platform that this claims to be, it should be allowed and not discouraged. Strong arming Steemians into doing what you want by downvoting nearly 50% of what they earn makes you almost worse than a banking system or the IRS.
There's no such thing as allowing on steem as it is a decentalized platform and everyone can do whatever they want. The reason we are downvoting the bidbot users is to discourage the vote buying behaviour. Everything is allowed, no one is prohibiting you the use of bidbots, but if you do, some other people can vote or downvote your content. As I said, there's a lot of manual curators out there looking for good content to reward, there's no need to buy votes if you create good content.
I hate to break it to you but bidbots help promote my content much more efficiently and are more monetarily rewarding than manual curation. You are simply ignoring this fact and choosing to downvote out of some moral compass that you and your non-creative types decided upon. I will continue to promote via bidbots, thanks.
This is a great post and we are actually following you to try and curate you like we've done in the past, I guess that was not enough for you. It's a pity you have this attitude. As we mentioned, any post buying votes will be downvoted, sorry.
My attitude is not the problem. You don't understand how advertising works. I make more by using bidbots than by manual curation. I can specifically show you in my no-bot vs bot posts if you'd like a quick lesson in econ 101. The money I spend for upvotes goes back into the Steemit ecosystem not some external source, so if you think downvoting will help against this, you are clearly missing the point of content creation. That much is obvious and no, you're not sorry. No need to patronize with your bullshit apologies. You and your cronies go ahead and downvote away. That's all you're good for.
Yes this is how advertising works, right? This sounds very sustainable to you, eh?
You clearly know a lot about what we do.
@acidyo & @ocdb after much research into posts regarding the recent downvotes, I believe I understand the why. I guess my problem was the aggressive approach you guys took without so much as a warning. Of course, not sure if most would've heeded it if they've been botting for a while now.
This platform is important to me and I'd like for it to be sustainable so I won't use bidbots, but I'd like to ask if there is a way of promoting my content without upsetting the applecart. Since I don't expect most of my posts to get curated, I'd appreciate an alternative/acceptable option so as to still gain votes and followers without curation.
I like that statement😍 and I think that your post is quite interesting too. Food recipes and revolutionary things to share .. what makes me wonder is why do you buying votes? With this kinda post.. most people would love to read it. But.. maybe it's just the way how you "invest in crypto" way and Never Stop Cooking!
Thank you for your comment @cicisaja and yes, I don't agree that creative Steemians such as myself should be downvoted for what basically boils down to paid advertising. The more upvotes I can get, the more I can earn and save up for my goals and thereby help others do the same. What is being done here goes against the basic principles of a healthy platform. These so-called curators (more like the self-proclaimed Gestapo) should read "The Wealth of Nations" by Adam Smith if they really want to understand what keeps a fair economic system running.
