Cook With Us 22: Vegan Caramel Apple Pie With Cranberry Coulis And Coconut Creme

When I first saw the challenge for "Cook With Us #22", I had every intention of making some ritzy, super toney pie or tart. You know... a little something, something fancy to suitable for a romantic dinner with dinner hubby. But, the oddest thing happened a few days ago. Something that is virtually unheard of in central North Carolina at the end of August

Steemit Sandwich Contest Week 55- Bacon & Banana French Toasties

Hubby was all smiles as he got one of his favourite sandwiches for breakfast - Bacon & Banana French Toasties, loaded with eggy bread, cheese melts, Banana fried in a thin layer of smoky Bacon fat, crispy streaky Bacon & fried Onion rings. Topped with a little heart-shaped French Toast & a couple of Cheese crisps on the side, hubby's heart just melted and he surrendered to all my demands

Let's see.. there's something sweet, something salty AND BACON! Absolutely no way you can go wrong with this mouthful of a sandwich! Everything is SO MUCH better with bacon!

Cheap and Fabulous '矮仔財滷肉飯' at a Taiwanese local market in Beitou. So fat yet so good

You know that it's real local when there's not even English name for it on Google maps. The place located at a market in the very old building. Hidden on the 2nd floor.
This one that we've been to, I would probably not consider it as 'Street food' though. As it's not on the street and also, it had a proper section just for it.. I considered it a 'restaurant'. Not a fancy one.. you know, we're writing 'Cheap and Fabulous' post

So off the beaten path that not even Google Maps knows about this little place? I bet they have the best food!That's the way it usually is.. the little, unknown places have the BEST dining experiences and dishes. Let's see what @waybeyondpadthai has to share today!

Ah, friends, what tasty cookies!

Our children very much liked such cookies

Cookies? Who doesn't love a cookie.. or two.. or three!

Mixed Cold Cuts And Cheeses

I present to you an Italian snack called "misto di salumi e formaggi".
You see, the cutting of smoked sausage, prosciutto Cotto and prosciutto crudo.
And cutting different kinds of cheese.
It tastes very good. All sausages should be cut no more than 1 mm thick.

Sometimes you don't want a five-course dinner. Sometimes ALL you want is a snack. Something salty... something filling... something to nibble. @vipnata has just the plate for you then!
