My top ten Wilma Rudolph quotes
In my last post, I talked about Wilma Rudolph, so if you would like to know who she is before reading her quotes, then you should read my last post.
I gave a somewhat detailed explanation on who she is, however she is the world's fastest woman, as recorded at the 1960 Olympic Games.
Below are some of her top quotes that inspire me a lot and I have decided to share :
I loved the feeling of freedom in running, the fresh air, the feeling that the only person I'm competing with is me.
I believe in me more than anything in this world.
My doctor told me I would never walk again. My mother told me I would. I believed my mother.
No matter what accomplishments you make, somebody helps you.
*Believe me, the reward is not so great without the struggle.k
I believe in me more than anything in this world.
After the scarlet fever and the whooping cough, I remember I started to get mad about it all... I went through the stage of asking myself, 'Wilma, what is this existence all about? Is it about being sick all the time? It can't be.' So I started getting angry about things, fighting back in a new way with a vengeance.
Winning is great, sure, but if you are really going to do something in life, the secret is learning how to lose. Nobody goes undefeated all the time. If you can pick up after a crushing defeat, and go on to win again, you are going to be a champion someday.
When the sun is shining I can do anything; no mountain is too high, no trouble too difficult to overcome.
The triumph can't be had without the struggle.
I hope you've learnt something from one of these quotes. My best is the one which says 'I believe in ME more than anything in this world '

VERY IMPORTANT
So in my last post, I was so much in a hurry that I forgot to leave links to my references and my sources. Since this post is related to the last post on Wilma Rudolph, I will leave the links below since I visited the same sources and references for both posts. Thanks for understanding.
