Theodor Seuss Geisel was born March 2, 1904, Springfield, MA, and died September 24, 1991, La Jolla, CA. Geisel was an American author and artist, best known for his children's books under the pen name Dr. Seuss, Cat In The Hat, How The Grinch Stole Christmas, and many more, becoming most popular children's books of all time. His books have sold 600 million copies and translated 20 languages.
