Police Quotas

A few weeks ago, I saw video footage of a police officer harassing a citizen for jaywalking. The man he was harassing told him how ridiculous he was for trying to arrest or detain him for such a trivial crime, and he also told the officer that he knew he was only doing it so he could meet the quotas that his police department most likely have in place.

The officer denied having to meet quotas, but he was lying, because I know an ex-detective, and he told me that when he was working as a cop, he and all the rest of the officers did have quotas that they had to meet in order to keep their jobs. So, when people get harassed or stopped or detained for committing trivial, lightweight or victimless crimes, it is most likely because a cop has quotas to meet.
