Emotions, Rationality and Free Will
"Let your emotions go, be rational"
Be rational, in the sense of be aware of causality between what we can perceive our brain is doing and some action.
Is this perception what really separates emotions from reason?
The brain processes information so fast that we cannot perceive our own actions being executed; that's acting emotionally.
The brain processes information slowly enough for us to (think that we can?) control our actions.
The difference between the last phrase with or without the parentheses defines the difference of a world with free will and one that is programmed.
:D reason belongs in the mind, and emotion to our body, where is resides alongside instinct plus other noncognitive responses.
Hm Actions are different. Unlike emotions, they are, or should be, under our control. and is as far as i know, not about 'the slowness of our brains possibility to control it' more a option we choose to acknowledge or not ;) & there for Free will :D
Great stuff :D :D
