Healthy Approach to Spiritual Practice

Although I am a beginner compared to many, Qigong is a great way to maintain a balanced and healthy lifestyle. It is an exercise method that is informed by spiritual beliefs and has been practiced in Asia for millenia.

Certainly it can be combined with religious beliefs that include deity, yet as it is based in a culture of Buddhist and Daoist principles, there may be helpfulness in its practice simply as a mindfulness based method.

As the essential meaning of the Dao situates somebody in cosmic geography, it may be possible to analogize qigong with Leonardo daVinci's depiction of the human being :

So, the results show that there is coordination between east-west conceptions of human proportions and methods of engaging the human body with the environment.

While we do not know what to make of far off planets, hopefully engaging with qigong and spiritual development, humanity can continue to prosper and thrive.
