The Native American Islamic Tribe in North America

The Ethnic Qarsherskiyan Tribe is a triracial fusion cultural community in the Southeastern part of North America. The Qarsherskiyans are religiously diverse and a vibrant community. People of all different kinds of religions and belief systems of various degrees of religiosity and trust or belief in these faiths are all coexisting, for the most part, peacefully within the Ethnic Qarsherskiyan Tribe. The Ethnic Qarsherskiyan people are triracial. They are part of a larger group called the Sweetgum Kriyuls, a collective "umbrella" term for various triracial or mixed race ethnocultural communities in the Eastern and Southern United States. The Sweetgum Kriyul Tribes include Lumbees, Melungeons, Moors of Delaware, Louisiana Redbones, Krioturks/Sumter Turks, Qarsherskiyans, Keating Mountain Triracial Group, and other tribes of mixed race peoples. The Qarsherskiyans are unique, as is each Sweetgum Kriyul tribe in it's own respective way, by a distinct history, culture, and homeland. The Qarsherskiyans are known for having lots of Aliyites. Aliyites are a Sufi Islamic Order within the Zaydi school of Shia Islam. Aliyiyism, or Al-'Aliyiyyah, is believed by historians to have originated among Sufi communities in the Yoruba lands of Nigeria between 1750 and 1804. The Fulani Empire, also known as the Sokoto Caliphate, nearly destroyed Aliyiyism, a syncretic religious practice which mixes Sufism and the Ìṣẹ̀ṣe religion, believing that the Orishas were Islamic saints, prophets, and imams. Aliyiyism likely started as a Sunni Sufi practice in Nigeria. Aliyiyism lives on today due to the transatlantic slave trade, which brought Aliyites from West Africa to North America, where some kept their religion alive in maroon communities such as the Great Dismal Swamp maroon community, mixing with people of multiple races while passing African traditions down through several generations. At some point, the Aliyites in North America became a part of Zaydi Shia Islamic traditions, likely by knowledgeable Yemeni immigrants marrying into the Qarsherskiyan Aliyite communities, and the Aliyites in Nigeria have been all but entirely replaced by Sunni Muslims and Jafari Shia Muslims. Sheikh Zakzaky has revived Shia Islam in Nigeria, where well over 1 million Shia Muslims live, mostly Jafari and a few Ismailis. In the 21st century, Qarsherskiyan Aliyites have managed to convert a few Brazilian Umbandists and Candomblé followers to the North American interpretation of Aliyiyism, while other brotherhoods are growing in the underground world of persecuted religious minorities in Saudi Arabia and Afghanistan. In Nigeria, a few remaining Aliyites seek to grow their syncretic Sufi orders again, and are divided as Sunni Aliyites and Shia Aliyites. Jafari Shia Islam from Zakzaky's movement heavily influences Nigerian Aliyites in the 21st century.
