PUKKELPOP GETS A VISIT FROM ARCADE FIRE AND NERD
It was already promised yesterday. Pukkelpop once again shines a small corner of the veil of its line-up in 2018. Today, the festival confirms the arrival of Arcade Fire and NERD from Wednesday 15 to Saturday 18 August at the Kiewit festival in Hasselt. Arcade Fire can be seen on Thursday, August 16th. On this day The War on Drugs and Dua Lipa also play. NERD is on the shelves a day later, so on Friday, August 17.
Previously, Kendrick Lamar, The War on Drugs and Dua Lipa were confirmed for Pukkelpop 2018.
Information about ticket sales from Pukkelpop will be announced later. There will, of course, be many confirmations.
Arcade Fire is the headliner on Thursday 16 August. The American 'funk-rock hip-hop band' NERD will play on Friday 17 August. Earlier, The War on Drugs, Dua Lipa, and Kendrick Lamar were also added to the poster.
The Canadian band Arcade Fire does not perform in Kiewit for the first time. In 2005 they played in a crowded Marquee and they were still cautiously called a 'promising hip band'. In 2007 they were on the Main Stage for the first time. Arcade Fire will also receive this place of honor this year.
NERD is now firmly embedded in the musical memory, with hits like 'She Wants To Move' and 'Lapdance'. Last year the band released its fifth album 'No One Ever Really Dies', which also includes Rihanna and Kendrick Lamar. Do we see Kendrick and NERD together at Pukkelpop? Fingers crossed that Kendrick wants to go to the meadow a day earlier.
