My dog: a black Pug named Croqueta

Croqueta was an anniversary gift from my boyfriend, he surprise me jumping out of the back of a car with a cute little pug puppie with a heart balloon. I ALWAYS dreamt with having a pug so I was always telling my boyfriend “I want a pug blah blah blah” so that’s why he one day decided he was getting one for me

Since that day I fell deeply in love with him, he is my world, my partner, my brother, my child, in other words, my family. He NEVER leaves me alone, and when I say never, it means NEVER. He follows me everywhere, to the kitchen, to the bathroom, to the shower, upstairs, downstairs, anyway... he is like my shadow

He currently sleeps in bed with me and everything

Ok but now let me explain you his name...

Croqueta means Croquette in spanish, yeah like this ones

But my Croqueta is a little bit burnt lol

One of the most funny things Croqueta does is that he is very passionate, my mom says he is like Hugh Hefner or Elvis Presley, a true casanova. He likes to put his paws in your chest and slowly lays you down so he can lay in your chest and give you kisses.

What can I say? He is my soulmate, no one understands me better than him (I think), I like to talk to him once in a while, he knows my biggest secrets and he is always there, even the times when no one is there, I can always count on him... it sounds crazy but in the darkest hours he gives me hope with one look, he makes me feel like everything is going to be good.

Dogs really are therapeutic, they have some kind of magic in them and definitely they have the souls of an angel. They are everything that is good in this world and I think that we can learn of them, they are patience, grateful, loyal, desinteresados, they love without expecting nothing in return and in the end, that’s all it matters.

I want more people to believe that we HAVE to care more about dogs because so many times they are taken for granted, like they are toys, and no my dears, they are just like us and even better.

And for those who believe in God like me, I think that dogs are God way to sending angels to earth.

And for all those who are asking themselves if a pug is the right dog the answer is: YES.
If you love company and want a dog who is loyal, loving, funny and most of the time very very CALM (they sleep A LOT) a pug is the dog for you. They are best friends for life and so much more that words can express.
