A política está cheia de contradições curiosas. Martin Luther King, o famoso ativista americano tão citado por aqueles defensores da visão mais liberal, parece não dar a mínima para as ideologias do mercado quando o assunto é bem-estar social. Neste vídeo ouvimos claramente as suas palavras em favor da proposta de um Rendimento Básico Incondicional para todos os americanos.

Creio que todos que examinem profundamente esta questão, com suficiente sensibilidade, percepção e compreensão dos mecanismos sociais que moldam e que constroem as crianças de hoje nos cidadãos do futuro, vão entender que para construirmos uma sociedade elevada, em todos os sentidos, precisamos antes de mais nada dar as condições básicas suficientes para todos ao menos sobreviverem. A vida precisa ser primeiramente sustentada no nível fisiológico, biológico e básico, para depois conseguir se desenvolver e se aprimorar em outros níveis. Se um ser humano não é capaz de se sustentar nestes níveis, todos os outros serão comprometidos: não tendo alimentação suficiente, por exemplo, o corpo humano terá a falta de vários nutrientes, calorias e outros componentes que prejudicarão drasticamente o desempenho no aprendizado e na execução de diversas tarefas e serviços cotidianos necessários para o seu desenvolvimento e aprimoramento. Assim fica claro que devemos primeiramente cuidar e sanar as necessidades básicas e fisiológicas antes de qualquer coisa, elas são a base de todo o resto.

Politics is full of curious contradictions. Martin Luther King, the famous American activist so quoted by those advocates of the more liberal view, does not seem to give a damn about the ideologies of the free-market when it comes to social welfare. In this video we clearly hear your words in favor of the proposal of an Unconditional Basic Income for all americans.

I believe that everyone who looks deeply into this question with sufficient sensitivity, insight and understanding of the social mechanisms that shape and build today's children into the citizens of the future, will understand that in order to build a high society, in every way, we need first of all to give the basic conditions sufficient for everyone to at least survive. Life must first be sustained at the physiological, biological, and basic level, to then be able to develop and improve on other levels. If a human being is not able to sustain himself at these levels, all others will be compromised: not having enough food, for example, the human body will lack the various nutrients, calories and other components that will drastically impair learning performance and execution of various daily tasks and services required for their development and improvement. So it is clear that we must first take care of the basic and physiological needs before anything else, they are the basis of everything else.
