The principle of pain and pleasure

When is it better to cause pain, and when is pleasure?
Very often they work in combination, but sometimes you need to focus on one thing.

People who want to avoid pain want:

Become financially independent.
Relieve your life.
Get rid of stress.
Something to prevent.
Something to avoid.
Something to remove.
For example, chronic stress with all its negative consequences, even skeptical about human psychologists, can convince the need for skilled care.

People who are eager for pleasure want:

Feel good.
Be happy.
Reach something.
In fact, all these are sides of the same coin. If you want to feel good (pleasure), then try to get rid of stress (avoid pain). Knowing this, is it possible to cause pain specifically to start moving and change something? Yes, certainly. It's all about imagination and conscious effort. Here's the Tony Robbins method and one more strategy for this.

The Tony Robbins Method
The principle of pain and pleasure is the well-known motivator Tony Robbins calls the lever. It is only necessary to turn it in one direction or another and there will be a great desire to do something or make an important decision. For this you just need to ask yourself the right questions.

Stage one: listen and watch
Listen to what is important to you:

What are your beliefs?
What exactly motivates you to get pleasure and avoid pain? (make a list)

This is a very important step. Probably, you always thought about your decisions from the position of benefit or money. But these are superficial concepts, everything is much deeper. Henceforth evaluate your behavior in terms of pain and pleasure.

Stage two: listen and communicate
Questions related to pain:

What will it cost me if I do not?
Why did it cost me in the past?
What was it worth to the people I love?
Perhaps your laziness caused trouble to relatives, threw them into a financial pit and made you feel worthless. Call in yourself a maximum of pain.

Questions showing how you are not persistent, when you say and think about what is important to you:

How does binge prevent the family from being around? (you say that for you the family is everything, but spend the evenings at the bar)
Is such a strong-willed person not to be able to pull himself together and give up what kills him? (you consider yourself a strong and strong-willed person, but you think that smoking is a weakness that you can afford)
How can you convince yourself that smoking relaxes if it causes stress and dependence? (this question shows that you are deceiving yourself)
Questions related to pleasure:

If you change it now, what will be your life?
What will it give you?
How will you feel?
What does this mean for people who love you?
We talked a lot about the pain up to this point, but pleasure is not less important. Best of all, the principle works in conjunction.
