The human psyche is fascinating.
I'm not sure where I fit... I guess I'm a "functional spender." If I am lacking something, I will typically get it if I can afford it, but I get no... "mental charge" from simply acquiring anything. Things don't really make me "feel" anything... they are just things.
Being a "functional spender" is probably a good place to be. Maybe you're part of the 60% or so in between the two groups at each end of the spectrum. "They are just things" is a good perspective.
