Perfect thanks for writing this it highlights the biggest obstacle most people face at some point in their lives.
There’s a trap of avoidance and hiding away because we think it makes is feel better and it does for a bit but being a hermit full time most definitely isn’t the answer. Sometimes we need that space provided we use it in order to re evaluate our belief systems. I find it really hard tho to accept having a horrible childhood so to take full responsibility for the life i have lived because is so challenging i know that most people have issues from growing up but some are considerably worse than others, however its these types of people who have the biggest potential
Thanks for leaving your comment. I know that it takes quite a shift in mentality to take full responsibility for our lives. But the more we do, the more it benefits us. It might help to understand that whatever happened to us, as a child and in life in general, we ourselves gave a certain response to those situations, and those responses are ours and ours alone. A teacher whom I learned a great deal from had this story about his childhood. Where a teacher wanted to hit him for following family traditions, which the teacher felt were not acceptable. The kid was 4 years old. And when the teacher tried to hit him, he just bit in his hand real hard. There was no powerlessness in the kid, no victim mentality, no voice saying 'I must deserve this, I must be a bad person, I must be different from other children'. The kid just bit the teacher and the teacher never hit the kid again. Whatever happens to us in life, our response is our responsibility.
