The fact check here really does seem like it's just using more words to say that it's a mental health disorder.

Also, I don't even know why we would debate that point, given that feeling "psychological distress" because of a gap between how you feel about yourself and who you actually are seems like the textbook definition of mental health disorder.

But then the whole psychology profession is an ideologically wrecked and unreliable mess at this point, and most of their "studies" fail to replicate. So.....

it's been a pretty sad realization as an adult learning just how incredibly bad most of the medical profession actually is at reasoning and basic science. By rights we should be dramatically better at solving human health problems, but shit like this sets us back tremendously.
