Neurogenesis

Using creativity as a form of meditation and growth, I use art as a tool to capture the unseen imagination and crudely capture non-ordinary -mostly psychedelic- experiences. This particular piece looked more and more like a scintillating neuron as it progressed and quite naturally I used psychedelics during its creation. Psychedelics used in the right set and setting have the ability to cause a mystical experience, revered perennially and replicated by artists throughout millennia through art. This genre of art has been defined as Visionary Art. Though a somewhat misleading label (like most) one need not consider themself a visionary to create in this genre. In my mind it is a form of recognizing humans perpetual desire to capture and chart the mysterious, recognized by some as Spirit.
