Monster Hunter Weapon #6 : Hunting Horn

The Hunting Horn - underappreciated but very powerful weapon to bring to a party.
The Hunting Horn is very similar to the Hammer where it's a blunt weapon that can stun a monster when you bash the monster in the face. It's slow and the damage is not as high as the Hammer. However what's more important about the Hunting horn is it's ability to play musical notes and melodies.

These musical notes and melodies when played in the correct order can buff your entire team with ATTACK, DEFENSE, STAMINA, HEALTH buffs. There are other very useful buffs such as Wind Pressure Negated, and Infinite Stamina. A good Hunting Horn player can attack monsters while reciting the correct note and keeping up all the buffs on the team.

Every Hunting Horn has different melodies and depending on the situation you might need a different buff for your team. So an example of the Basic Hunting Horn everyone starts with has Red, White, Blue notes

• White, White = Attack Deflection Prevention
• White, Red, Red = Attack Boost
• White, Blue, Blue = Defense Boost
• Red, Blue, White = Health Boost
• Blue, Blue, Red = Wind Pressure Negated

So with this Hunting Horn you can increase your entire team's Attack, Defense, Health AND prevent them from being knocked back from winds, AND weapons will not bounce/deflect when you attack with low sharpness.

Players who decide to take up Hunting Horn should make sure to pick up the armor skill - "Horn Maestro"
This skill will increase the duration of your buffs on the players.

Pro

• Slightly longer reach than Hammer
• Ability to stun Monsters by bashing them in the face
• Ability to support and buff your team to make them stronger
• If you self buff movement speed you can move even faster than some other weapon users.

Con

• No Charge Attack
• No Guarding Ability
• Slower Attack speed than some weapons such as Long Sword
• Generates Aggro very easily since the player is buffing the team. (Monster will target you more)
