The Masochist Gambit

The Masochist Gambit: The reflexive habit of pretending that those who defend themselves against aggression are somehow responsible for that aggression. E.g. media, self-delusion, gaslighting.

I was trying to describe the bizarre things that I see in our society in regards to protecting yourself and also discipline in the schools.
