Message To 40,000 Denominations

Just as our Catholic Faith becomes more clear over time, so were the Pagans working their way towards Christianity. Our drive for Truth is timeless, and premonitions of Christian Truth can be seen from our earliest historical records. Improving civilization tends towards Goodness, which leads us to Truth, which orients us toward God. Paganism was the greatest thing in the world, but Christ is greater. There is Truth in Paganism, there is much more Truth in Christianity, and the fullest expression of Truth that we have available in this world is the Catholic Church.

Some people like to reduce the Faith down to the lowest common denominator, throwing out everything that makes them uncomfortable. We Catholics choose not to "dumb down" the Faith that has been passed down to us through the centuries. If you read about the Church Fathers from the Middle Ages, you will realize that what we teach is what the Church has always taught. Many sinners do not want to conform their lifestyles to God's standards. These sinners seek out churches that will look the other way or embrace their sins. This is a natural pattern, but one not to be admired. We should not tailor Truth to fit our own comfort. Truth is Truth. If you're a incorrigible sinner, then so be it. Why pretend you're not? You are only fooling yourself.

If you prefer to think that 2+2=5, and you are offended that the rest of us will not tolerate your personal choice, then what you do is find a group of people who also believe 2+2=5 and you congregate there together. You love these fellows who share your personal choice, and you are concerned for their welfare. This is natural and a reflection of God's love. However, 2+2 does not equal 5, and never will. Catholics seek Truth, no matter how inconvenient it may be for us personally.

Perversion is the action of turning aside from truth. If you are a relativist, you may not be able to understand. Also, there are now at least 40,000 protestant denominations, and they are increasing at the rate of almost 300 a year. At what point do we begin to recognize that not all of these individual religions are worthy of instant and reflexive respect? The New Age idea of Man as a-little-bit-of-good-and-a-little-bit-of-evil is just the kind of thing Lucifer sold Adam and Eve. The Truth is that God is Good, and every step away from God is evil. Evil must be defined as a lack of Good, not as an alternate goal.

The sad part is you truly don't know what you are missing. You place your faith in science you don't fully understand. You place your faith in news reporters. You parrot the news as if you invented it. Yeah, you're a real rebel, sticking to the Pope and his henchmen. Real original. I think I recall hearing of that boast more than a few times over the last 2000 years. You have been swept away by the winds of popular culture and never pause long enough to take note of what is unchanging and True. You don't think for yourself, you just read the latest opinions and take them for your own. I've been there. I know. 

Universalism is a New Age translation of a previous term: "Catholic". The Catholic Church has always been and always will be the universal Bride of Christ. You can invent all kinds of excuses to divide the Church (before this or that council, for example) but they were always Catholic councils staffed with not-always-faithful Catholics. They did not always agree. Instead of running away and forming 40,000 denominations, they instead fought it out like men. 

St Nicholas punched out a heretic at one of the councils. We could use a little of that virility today in the Western Church, which has become Protestanized and otherwise feminized almost beyond recognition. We call them "Cafeteria Catholics" but what they really are is Protestant. 

Protestants like to knock chunks out of the Faith, the parts they don't like (divorce) and the parts they don't understand (Trinity). However, each facet of the Faith is capable of saving all of Humanity, so I don't criticize the diminution of the Faith as much as the distortions. Unsurprisingly, these distortions lead the victim toward Pantheism (for the masses) and Luciferianism (for the elites).

Protestantism is based upon a denial of God's laws where sex is concerned. It was born with state-authorized divorce, grew into state-authorized birth control and has matured into state-authorized abortion. The next logical step is state-authorized infanticide and state-authorized euthanasia, and it is on our doorstep.
