RE: I want to make STEEM DECK - collectible playing cards for people inside & outside the community. Support please!
We believe 9USD pp is inexpensive for the product we want to create.
Firstly, it costs 10-15USD to make customised playing cards here in Malaysia and the quality is only 'meh'. Thus, sourcing from China allows us to make this cheaper and high quality.
However this means we need to spend a lot more time and effort to ensure every tiny detail is delivered to expectation. Anyone who has worked with China suppliers before can attest that this is true and communication is a challenge. We are also confident in delivering this product by November because should there be hiccups, we have immediate reliable comparative suppliers too. We have done our research with who is responsive, friendly, reliable and who is not.
We all want the lowest price but the lowest price often is not the best option.
Lastly, it would cost 2,000USD on top of manufacturing to draw 54 caricatures full color and high resolution. We are very lucky to have an artist willing to do this at half the cost. He is passionate about crypto, a fellow steemian @sireh, and we work well together. Because we have had success before, he has developed a process of delivering the artwork efficiently. And one more thing I want to say about this guy, his caricatures is some of the best I've ever seen IMO. This is subjective and up to the community to decide. I believe he can draw in a way that will do each character proud. And he listens and is responsive to feedback despite being a full time lecturer for a university.
I don't know if you can find anyone else right now who would put in the heart and sweat to deliver this by November. But I'm sincere to make this happen if I can get yours and the community support. 👍
Okay - sounds really cool.
But sorry - I still think we've got to get some fundamental things right on here.. We want a decentralized platform but run after one centralized dev entity.. First things first.
Before we didnt accomplish true decentralization, I dont get what people wanna market.
We first need a good product, then the people come. Not the other way around..
