Google vs. Meta
I have completed two different Steem promotion campaigns. The first campaign was conducted in Google Ads, the second - in Instagram. I wanted to compare the performance, but they cannot be compared. The reason is different geographical coverage. At Google, I could conduct campaigns for the whole world, and Instagram constantly complained about too wide a geography.
Nevertheless, let's take a look at the results.
Campaign in Google Ads
Campaign details:

Results:
- Number of ad impressions: 43.6 thousand.
- Number of clicks on the ad: 2.4 thousand.
- Average price per click: UAH 0.29, which is $0.007.

Campaign in Instagram
Campaign details:

- Language - English.
- Geography - Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, Norway, Germany, Romania, Belgium, Sweden, Finland, Bulgaria, Netherlands, Ireland and United States.
- Campaign period: August 2-4, 2024.
Results:
Conclusions
Google showed the absolute majority of ads in India, while Instagram - in Europe. Therefore, it is not possible to compare the cost of clicks. However, with approximately equal budgets, I received 2,400 clicks on Google, and only 100 on Instagram. The difference is incredible.
I am convinced that campaigns for the promotion of Steem in Google Ads are much more effective. Unfortunately, Google puts many obstacles and it is almost impossible for an individual, not an entrepreneur, to work with this network.
I have nowhere to rush, I'm not at work and I don't have to start a new campaign right away. Therefore, I can devote some time to study in more detail whether I still have at least some opportunity to work with Google. Alternatively, I would consider ordering a Steem Google Ads campaign from a professional ad company, at least find out what their prices are.
