Despite banging my head against a brick wall these past +18 months, trying to get this message out, I would like to once again say, that why #Steem is not showcasing and exhibiting at EVERY #Cryptocurrency and #Blockchain Event is totally beyond me.!!
Nil, Naught, Nothing, Zero, Zilch, Zip..!!
I am constantly being invited to showcase and exhibit #Steem at #Cryptocurrency and #Blockchain Event and Shows but every time I put it to the community the response is: Nil, Naught, Nothing, Zero, Zilch, Zip..!!
Why this is, is totally beyond me and something that I simply cannot get my head round.
So many golden opportunities are being presented to us to showcase and exhibit #Steem and yet it appears that most just don't seem to care.
A shame, a real shame.!!
Despite this lack of appetite to want to promote #Steem I will continue to bang my head against the brick wall and will do so until the wall crumbles or I simply pass out with a headache.

It's almost as if they don't get it (i.e have zero real life business experience).
The alternative is even worse...(and not off the cards, as far as I can see).
A few months ago, as the price of #Steem was falling and I was ranting and raging on about this very subject, I actually began to wonder if those that held the bulk of #Steem actually wanted the price to drop.
Crazy as it may sound, but it makes more sense and logical if this was the case not to actually promote #Steem.
If this was correct and I was right, then this would make complete sense in why there is a distinct lack of appetite and desire to promote #Steem and I for one would be more than happy to stop promoting #Steem.
If this theory was wrong and I was way off mark, then sadly there is still a massive hurdle to overcome when it comes to monetising #Steem.

Marketing not done on the ground at events for crypto and blockchain, I agree steem will not go far. Social Media is one thing, word of mouth is another, the latter is always the one that motivates most.
I totally agree with @masterthematrix. There are many things the STEEM marketing team are doing that annoys me a lot😑🤒. We hardly see them posting themselves marketing STEEM at any crypto event, instead we see "featured" posts trending, containing interviews with a steem co-founder. WTF!!! How's that marketing steem to the world?
When you leave such a huge job for an average Joe, what do you expect?
It indeed is a real head shaker.
But Steemit is working on a bunch of things that really don't matter and haven't moved on many things that do.

I would like to think that I am a reasonably level headed person having earned my stripes with over +30 years experience in Business with a focus on the Commercials and Investments.
In a reply to an earlier comment, I talked about the distinct possibility that there may well be a clear reason not to want to promote #Steem and if this theory was correct and I was right, then I can see the absolute reasoning behind it.
This theory would make more sense to me and is one that I for one could accept, rather than the alternative of a lack of appetite to want to promote #Steem which I believe comes at a higher price!

I agree, its sad but true. And our own Steemit.com Team is not interested in investing any money on event marketing and all other projects are struggeling to keep their head above waters so who should Showcase Steem at Events??? Average Joe???
