The Price For Success
First of all I’ll love to say success is a journey, it don’t just come easily. Success is not by luck but as a result of your deed and the effort you put in place to ensure your dreams come to reality. So success is a choice, the power to succeed is in your hands, you have the power to either succeed or fail it’s all up to you.
There is a popular saying “Nothing good comes easy”, we all will classify success as a good thing, and everybody loves to associate with success, nobody like to associate with failures. There is a price to pay for everything in life; there is a price for failure and also a price for success. So today we will be looking at the price of success.
• The first price you need to pay and this for me is the biggest price to pay is your time. That is because time is the only common commodity we have in common, so may have more money than others while some may have more weight on their body than others but everybody has equal amount of time and that’s what makes it unique.
So that brings us to the essential part of time and why it’s a price to pay for success. What you spend your time on today determines what you will me tomorrow, time just like money can be invested or spent. And believe me when I say it is easier to spend your time than invest it.
From you today you can tell how your tomorrow will look like.
I’m such that I’ll make it in life because I know how much of my time I have invested in self-development so I’m not scared of what tomorrow holds. To be successful you need to invest more of your time, invest more and spend less, study more and play less, work more and see movies less. The different between a successful man and a failure is in what they spend their time on.
• The second price to pay is less friends. I’ll say friends are distraction, I’m not trying to say having friends are bad, and no man is an island. But to be successful you need fewer friends in your life and more of partners.
Friends can also be partners, so what you should do in this case is to select your friends, if you want to be successful you don’t have to please everybody, cut people that don’t add positive value in your life, everybody in your life has a role to play, nobody enters your life and leave the same they either add to you positively or negatively, so if you want to make it in life you need people that same vision with you and can help you achieve your dreams either physically , mentally or emotionally. Be wise in selecting your friends and have just few friends around.
• The third price to pay is Self-discipline. If you want to be a successful individual or be successful in life you need to be discipline. When I say self-discipline, you need to know what to do, when to do and how to do it effectively. You need to limit yourself from lots of things and have full control over yourself. You need to be always conscious and avoid distractions. One thing you can never avoid in life is temptations, temptations must come and the only way to overcome those temptations is to have self-discipline (self-control, self-value and self-respect).
There various price to pay for success but most of them are applied to different field, so my outline above are the once I think are most important in the journey to success. Remember everybody wants to associate with success, so always bear in mind that no matter what you do, you have to make it in life. Avoid distractions, because most of the people with you today as you spend your time will be the same to laugh at you tomorrow if you don’t make it in life. So my advice to you is investing now and spending later.
CONCLUSION
You need bear in mind that nothing comes easily. You need to scarifice something to gain something, nothing goes for nothing, the result may not be fast but remember as you sow you shall reap, that’s a law. Be wise in whatever you do, your eyes should be on tomorrow not today.
