The 4 rule approach to life: Steemit the piece that just completed the puzzle
I bring to steemit the 4-rule approach to life; this message has been going to the young people of Africa whenever I get a chance to interact with them; mostly through Saccos (Savings and Credit Cooperative Societies) that unite us in farming here in Africa, as we get to share knowledge on how to remain supplying food to the world.
A small survey i've recently carried out has showed something has been missing in my message.
The lives of people I talked to before I signed up on steemit were completely different from the lives of people I shared it with after signing up on steemit. The feed back simply said it, as it was guaranteed from the latter who always gave me a feedback. There was a tremendous effect on the people who received the message two weeks after I had been approved on steemit who all gave me a positive feed back on how they are more active everyday, thinking bigger a lot to do with self transformations.
This I found out came because the people that got the message before I signed up on steemit didn't get the '4-rule approach to life' message embedded with the message of steemit. And those who fortunately got the same message that was embedded with the steemit message where lucky to get it in full package.
For this reason, am sharing this formular with fellow steemians, because this platform is the reason many young people's lives here in Africa are tremendously going to get transformed when the edited version of '4-rule approach to life' reaches them.
Africa being my initial target for the '4-rule approach to life' is a result of the huge gap we are behind the first world countries of the world. And I've chosen the young people of Africa beacuse the future of the continent is in our hands. The voice of the young people is too low, we are always left out by the leaders who promise to make a difference in our lives whenever they are campaigning for votes, and then leave us out when they step into power.
Being voiceless should not be an excuse to hold us back from transforming the continent that will always be part of us irrespective of where we go, physically or in death. So let's not give up on our continent, we need to make it better for the generation that'll come after us.
Well this being a plan to transform Africa, doesn't mean you who is reading this post and are coming from a different part of the world is left out. The '4-rule approach to life' is general, for all walks of life, as long as you've not reached where you want to be, you are not happy where you are with your life at the moment, you've not yet fulfilled your long term targets.
I'll try to make this as brief as possible and will have to go much into details in my next posts.
A)Realising the potential in our hands;
Big or small sized head, every human accesses the same percentage of the brain. This percentage is approximated to be 10%, which is too huge that it's what Isaac Newton had to access to develop the principles pf modern physics and the laws of motion, what Steve Jobs had to access to develop Apple, what Nedd Scott used to bring steemit to you who's reading this.
Where does this leave us young people, and people who are on a journey to make a tremendous contribution to this world. Are you maximising the 10% you've got in your brain, what are you doing with your life to maximise this 10%.
Maximising 10% is what it took these lifetime achievers make a great contribution to this world. And it's this same tool that is at your disporsal.
So beat it, get off from that comfortable life you can't live without. The life of TV programs you can't do without, the life of getting attached to tangible items, that you think you can't do without, yes I mean that gadget you had to save your earnings a lot to purchase be it a car, a phone, this is not the best you can get. There is a lot more the world requires from you.
Start living a life that will get you to access the 10% of the brain you've got inside that skull. And trust me this life can only be lived in a hard way with tough choices that people around you, be it close friends, family sometimes aren't up to the task to live by.
B)Time
We approximately require atmost 8hours of sleep, of which i recommend we do our best to reduce it to atleast five. But putting away the 8hours of sleep. This leaves us with 16hours in a day to fully maximise the brain to its full potential to bring the best results out of it.
How well are you planning for the remaining 16hours you've got, well it's time to give a shot at a proper timetable that that is going to let you live your full potential.
If you are to sleep, let it be atmost 8hours of sleep though our brain has the potential to reduce that to 5hours of sleep, and still it wouldn't be affected. You'll be able to cover the same work as a person who made it 8hours.
Now the time you wake up is the crucial time. Are the 5 to 8hrs of sleep ending at 8am in the morning, well that would mean you could have at midnight or by 3am. Now this is absolutely wrong. Let the 5 to 8hrs of sleep come to an end by 5am. Either they get you up by 4 or 5am.
This is the time when your brain is most active. And the time that will be the most important in your day. Get out of that comfortable bed and get to fully utilise this time.
I call on you to give in one and ahalf hours straight of full time concentration. You can make this two with time to come. This is the time that your brain has nothing on it's plate and it's calling on you to start loading it with new knowledge.
The new knnowledge can best be reached through reading and writing.
The reading has to involve something that's going to build you, something in the same path with your career, or giving you life skills, some of these notes can be got from the posts on steemit. I'll go deep into this in a post am soon making.
If it's writing, steemit just cleared the path for us. Don't rush to a pc and immeditely start hitting those buttons, get a paper and pen and start writing something that's coming from deep inside you that you would love to share with the steemit world. It might be your life story, skills, a message that you would love to reach the steemit world. At the end of this, have a 30min workout; This I'll be going deep into in a post am making soon, something that will keep you in the best shape of your life.
Now at the end of those two hours, you'll be having an extra hour to 8am. This is the time to prepare for your day, that you don't get into a rush hour to get to work or some commitment you have at 8am
Between 8 to midday, commit to what needs to be done in your field of acitivity. This could be work at a job, reading for the students, physical training at a passion you've got. Don't give up until this commitment is done, get rid of the destructions that will stop you from focussing. With self discipline, this will take 4 straight hours, with a break of 40minutes in the middle of this.
If you have got no commitment in this period, that won't be an excuse, coz this will be a good time to get back to the reading and writing formula we had in the morning.
After this you can get yourself a 2hr break, this break will be a form of resting that your brain needs for a good work ethic. You can now let those destructions come in. Getting on to the social platform of steemit, having fun with your colleagues, reading some steemit posts and ofcourse having lunch. This will all come to an end at 2pm
2pm to 6pm, get back to the 4 hour formular just exactly like the 8 to 12noon we had in the above paragraph, staying commited to what your supposed to do, with a 40min break between that time.
6 to 8pm, yes, the same rythm, resting, getting the destructions come in the way, some physical exercises, and a supper meal.
8 pm to the time you sleep is steemit time, strictly steemit. If your not reading a post, write something on steemit, we are waiting for those stories that will give us some laugh or skills your sharing
C) Feeding
Well let's not get this wrong, Food is what keeps us living, and you wouldn't want to mess this up with a wrong meal that'll cut on your lifespan. This has to closely be in line the 2nd rule, strictly have these meals within the time spared for breaks. You can have small eats within your day, but let them not come in the way of the 3 major meals; breakfast, lunch and dinner. Mkae sure you fully take these meals as i'll be stating them out for you here.
Commit to the 3 major meals in the day. This, briefly in detail will have;
Breakfast - A cooked meal, accompanied by a fruit in the morning will keep you going throughout the day. This has to come in by 8am in the morning. Don't give an excuse if you can't afford the meal. Let porridge come in play, this porridge has to be balanced with some millet flour or milk to get you going. At the very least, have some tea, but with a fruit at the end of the breakfast.
Lunch - A fully well cooked balanced meal, this you'll have by 2pm considering the plan we stated out in the above paragraphs. The sauce of the meal should strictly be rich in proteins, from fish, beans, beef.. Look this up for the best sauce rich in proteins that your body can have.
Dinner - Just like the lunch meal, have it by 8pm. This might be early for some of us, but let's keep some discipline here, you need to give digestion time to also do it's job before you go to bed.
The snacks can come in between the as shown in the above table, something just to keep you from getting hungry and weak to continue with your day.
Take as much water as possible, Make atleast 8 glasses of water. Water makes up 70% of our body, and we need to keep it that way to keep the blood flowing to let our bodies reach our full potential.
D) Decision making
We are always taught how to work on the big decisions, where a formular is set up to simplify the steps on how to take these decisions. The steps having assesement, planning, analysis among them. These decisions are the ones taken when starting up an investment, bringing up something for the development of the community, laying off an employee, among others.
Well how often do you meet these decisions in your daily life. That's right, these decisions never come into play in the daily life we live.
It's the small decisions we face in our daily life that we ought to work on to improve our daily productivity.
These small decisions are the ones that make us better decision makers in life.
Let's decide on something that plays a positive part in our life whenever something that doesn't play a positive part in our life tries to come in. But incases where both parties play positive parts in our lives, then don't think much, just switch off your brain for a little without thinking of problem solving and pick on what to do. I recommend a 'count to 4' guide.
A case in point;
You head to a restaurant and you pick up the menu and on it you have a meal served with fish, and right after it, a meal served with beef, both of these at the same price, and they are both your favorite dishes. Are you going to start comparing how the two are served, thinking the beef might be larger than the fish, hey STOP, there is no time for this. The time your using to think is being used by someone to correct an error in a code for an android program to fully function.
Count to 4 and choose what you'll have on your plate, both dishes will support your body to function better, whether they are served in big quantities on not.
The timetable in rule 2, doesn't accomodate the time taken to make these small decisions. Use the 'count to 4' guide
in all the micro decisions that come in play.
Be it which cryptocurrency to invest in with that saving you've made, a girl you want to hit on but you have no idea how to drop the first word, shopping in the supermarket, 'count to 4' will do for you.
If you've not taken the decision by the 4 count, move on to the next activity in your day, you'll regret nothing. A mistake will only allow you decide better when you have to make a decision again.
Follow this 4-rule and make a contribution to the world, this big contribution will move you a huge step forward in your life. Moving you from a nobody to someone the next generation will look up to, hugely making a mark on the world the next generation will live in.
Am grateful for endeavouring to read upto the end.. Let's continue spreading the steemit word. There is a lot of ways it's going to transform people's lives.
