Steemit meetup (FUNAAB) Abeokuta; a brief report on what went down
The first meet up organized by @tormiwah, @rharphelle, and I took place at the federal university of agriculture, Abeokuta campus took place yesterday (16-02-2018). At around 11am yesterday morning great steemians converged and in attendance was about eight steemit members with three new members.
@Tormiwah took time to explain in detail what the steemblockchain is all about which included explaining what steempower, steem and sbd means. Thereafter, I took them on how to write quality content avoiding copyright infringements and plagiarism in the few minutes I used I also discussed how to use a few markdown stylings.
It was getting interesting hen @rharphelle discussed tags, introductory posts and communication on both discord and steemit.chat.
Thereafter discussions on steem Abeokuta was brought in as one of the first few members of the community in funaab, we discovered we have over four higher institutions in Abeokuta with an average of over ten thousand students on each campus. This would be selfish if we decided to enjoy the benefits alone. So, plans were set in motion to kickstart spreading the gospel of steemit round the corners of Abeokuta.
The meet up came to an end after about two hours and we decided to have a nice meal at a cafeteria.
In attendance were @lawkay, @addempsea, @real2josh, @sogless, @rharphelle, @akinwonmi, @adetola, @tormiwah out of many steemit members of our group some of which could not attend due to reasons which are best known to them.
Thank you for watching.
