Productivity Saturday - Tips and Inspiration

in #productivitytips7 years ago (edited)

Today is Saturday. Well, at least here in our country. And this is the time to do things I couldn’t have done during the weekdays. I want to share the good vibes, so I’m writing some tips that can propel us out of our beds, and starting moving towards our dreams. These tips act also as a reminder for myself, because like most of us, I also tend to bum around, and do nothing. So, here it goes!

Starting the day right

In order to start the day right, you need to end it right the previous day. This being said, we all need a good sleep as this helps us in having a positive and energetic start. It really makes a difference.

In my case, I was able to get a good rest of a about 9 hours — long and uninterrupted sleep. The moment I woke up, I knew I was completely recharged. And since this is the case, I couldn’t help but sieze the day! Hence, don’t skip the opportunity of sleeping at the right time and the right length.

Quick Productivity Tips

Okay, it’s easy to “feel” energized, but feelings alone will not help us be closer to our goals. We need action. So, what we can do is to use the feeling to help us get started.

1. Write down the things you want to achieve for the day

It’s not enough to just think of what you want to do for the day. Remember, we want action. And writing IS action. By starting to actually move, and pen down what we need to achieve, we are already creating motion.

2. Start RIGHT NOW

We don’t need to wait for the perfect condition just to work on our goals. If we want to finish that next Steemit post, let’s not put conditions such as “I’ll start working on it after I check my Facebook” or “I’ll just watch a series or two, and after that I’ll work on my post”. Chances are we’ll lose your motivation and energy afterwards. And we need to start all over again the next day (unless we do #3).

3. Even when you don’t “feel” it, just do it

There are times when we don’t feel like moving, but we’ll be surprised when we “force” ourself to. At first, it would feel unnatural and painstaking, but as we build momentu we’ll suddenly feel like we are in the mood. In short, let’s be more than our feelings, because we are so much more than them.

So there you go, these are just quick tips and I hope you were able to pick up something from this. Let’s spread the good vibes by re-steeming and upvoting this post! Do share your personal tips on how to be productive, and I’ll be spreading love with some upvote in your comments!

Let’s fly to the moon!
