Do you suffer from procrastination?

I am a recovering procrastinator so I have been there. So much so that two years ago I paid for some training to help me get over it. It wasn't a magic bullet but I did discover some things about myself that helped me understand why I procastinated.

Once I understood why, I was then able to work out how to overcome it.

Your reasons could be different, but for me this article resonated with me.

While I know my mum loves me, she always made me feel like I wouldn't amount to much. Well I say she made me feel like that, she actually said "You'll never be more than a bin man" (Not that there is anything wrong with being a bin man. I was one and it paid alright. I guess it was the fact she meant it to hurt me)

After reading that article it sort of gave me a challenge to beat it.

If you wanting to find out more about how to beat procrastination try this blog https://waitbutwhy.com/2013/10/why-procrastinators-procrastinate.html he has a quite a funny way of talking about it.

So if you can choose one project to move forward, take that next step.

Sort:

procrastinators never really get much done in life...glad to know you have made progress in overcoming it. I think the first step like you have rightly said is to identify that there is a problem and seek an holistic solution to it(self awareness is key)

That's it. Sometimes if something isn't going the way we want it to, one can think it is "Well that's just who I am" when in fact it is only who you are right now and if you want to be someone else that is possible.

Absolutely! We have much more to offer than we can even imagine
