Technical details - How does it work?
Searx is a metasearch mechanism, inspired by the search project.
It provides basic privacy, mixing your queries with searches on other platforms, without storing search data. Queries are made using a POST request in each browser (except chrome *). Therefore, they do not appear in our records, nor in the history of your url. In the case of Chrome * users, there is an exception, searx uses the search bar to execute GET orders.
Searx can be added to your browser's search bar; In addition, it can be configured as the default search engine.
