The Prisoner Eventually Looks at the Sun
As the freed prisoner’s eyes fully adjust to the outside world, he finally gazes upon the sun itself, which represents the pinnacle of understanding in Plato's Allegory of the Cave.

In Plato's philosophy, the sun symbolizes the Form of the Good. Just as the sun illuminates and gives life to all things in the physical world, the Form of the Good illuminates and gives truth and existence to all things in the realm of forms (or ideas).

The Good is the ultimate source of truth, knowledge, and reality. It is what allows the mind to understand and comprehend the true nature of existence.
