STATUE OF UNITY, The Worlds Tallest Statue, the Pride of every Indians

The Statue of Unity is a Colossal statue of Indian statesman and independence activist Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel (1875–1950) in the state of Gujarat, India. It is the world's tallest statue with a height of 182 metres (597 ft). It is located on a river island facing the Sardar Sarovar Dam on the river Narmada in Kevadiya Colony, 100 kilometres (62 mi) southeast of the city of Vadodara.The statue was unveiled by Our Honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi on October 31.

The collector of Kheda district, I K Patel,who is a 2006 batch IAS officer, will also be the Chief Executive Officer and Rehabilitation Commissioner of Sardar Sarovar Punarvasvat Agency (SSPA), Vadodara. He will be relieving Shahmeena Husain of the additional charge of the Sardar Sarovar Punarvasvat Agency and now he has been appointed as the chief administrator of ‘Statue of Unity’ (SoU) by the Gujarat government.
