Prevent Marriage The administration has strong urgency
The concerns of the elderly about the marriage are long-standing. The government has strictly enacted this law. In the media, there is a wide circulation campaign to prevent child marriage by presenting so-called news. Even then, it is often heard that, in many ways, there are many tactics, barriers to preventing law and administration. But this is also the reality, in recent times, the administration has been doing praiseworthy activities to prevent child marriage. For example, Keshabpur Upazila and Thana administration of Jessore have been taking stern position to prevent child marriage. There are ongoing programs, including campaigning, microphaking, awareness, and prevention of child marriage. In light of Bangladesh's enlightenment, due to their activities, mobile courts closed Keshabpur Upazila and Thana administration in November, and the mobile courts imposed fine on them for various terms and conditions. Upazila executive officer said the news of childhood Mizanur Rahman and Officer in-charge of the police station. Shahin will be present in the marriage ceremony at the wedding ceremony. Taking steps to stop marriage. Their zeal for this initiative is solemn. If such accountability is remarkable throughout the administration, it will be very important for women's development.
It is to be noted that in the prevention of child marriage, the government has made new laws by increasing the amount of punishment. Awareness campaign has also been adopted at a massive rate. Adolescents of childhood prevention are also taking direct support from the administration. We also know the news of schoolgirls going to the administration to prevent their marriage. It is a matter of regret that despite the expected decline in child marriage, it can not be claimed. In a survey of the Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS), the number of child labor in the country was 64.1 percent in 2006. In 2014, it decreased to 52.3 percent. According to the BIDS survey of 2017, the number of child marriages in the country is 47 percent (below 18), while the number of marriages under 15 years is 10.60 percent. Meanwhile, according to a UN report, the number of child marriage in the world has declined significantly. UNICEF's report said that the marriage rate for girls under the age of 18 is now down to 30 percent. Clearly, the rate of child marriage in Bangladesh is not decreasing at the expected rate compared to the world.
Child marriage must be kept in the forefront of the country's development and women empowerment. In this case, there will be a lot of public awareness in addition to closing the law. Poverty is a major cause of child marriage. So, look forward to improving the quality of life. Child marriages empowerment of women and human rights violations We have to be saved from this curse.
