Trump says he has reimposed sanctions on Iran for "world peace"
Anyone doing business with Iran will not do business with the United States. I'm asking for world peace, nothing less, "Trump said via Twitter
Washington (United States). The US president, Donald Trump, said today that the decision to reimpose a series of sanctions that the US had lifted Iran after the 2015 nuclear agreement was taken for the sake of "world peace".
"Iran's sanctions have been officially issued ... (...) Anyone doing business with Iran will NOT do business with the US I'm asking for WORLD PEACE, nothing less," Trump said in his official Twitter account.
The resumption of sanctions seeks to economically isolate the Iranian Executive, forcing foreign companies to close their businesses in the Persian country; although at the same time it threatens to deepen the gap between the United States and the European Union, since the sanctions will affect European companies.
To resume this punishment, Trump signed on Monday an executive order in which he established that, as of 00.01 today local time (04.00 GMT), is prohibited the trade of gold, precious metals and materials such as aluminum and steel, as well as the sale of cars made in Iran.
Likewise, the United States rejects as of today the financial transactions related to the railway system, imposes sanctions on those who buy or facilitate the issuance of Iranian sovereign debt and prohibits Iran from using US dollars.
Within 180 days, that is, at midnight from November 4 to 5, the second round of sanctions will come into force, including prohibitions on financial transactions with the Central Bank of Iran and the sale of oil, a of the main sources of currency of the country.
