Baby Blues! New Mom feelings

in #pregnancy6 years ago

Baby Blues often happens to new moms, I am a mother of two. My Son is 13 years old and daughter was born on 13th Sept 2018, she is adorable, sleeps all night (and that's why i could write this blog) Enough milk, good poo, medicinal bath (will write another blog in detail about this) and enough sleep is keeping her healthy and fine (touch wood). Its me... I am not able to sleep, not able to think, nightmares from my labor as I had to go for unplanned C-Section, first one was natural birth.

About C-Section I am not ready to talk about it! sorry! I think that's the problem, I am still unable to come out of it, doctor asked me to see her only after 6 weeks, I wish I had met her in between. Six weeks has been difficult...

You may find my blog incomplete, sorry this is all I can write now... Once i am ready you will see another one which I hope to be in near future.

I am reading : http://americanpregnancy.org/first-year-of-life/baby-blues/

If you have any suggestions I would love to hear.

Thank you

I understand how you feel. My sister also experienced "Baby Blues". It's really hard and It really helped her by being there and just supporting her while she's going through those season. Strong, positive support from family helps :)

I will tell you my friend that I also had an operation to have my baby, I did not give up. Everything is part that despite everything you feel you can raise your mood and emotions and can express what you feel in your blog. You have to keep going and loving your children who are your engine .. You will.

Hi New Mom,
There's something about that first girl and having a c-section on top of that that makes a woman feel all sorts of emotions. First, you have brought a precious princess into the world that you will forever love and worry about. Second, having a c-section that limits your mobility and your ability to be as active with the baby as you would like. I experienced this as well with my first baby, my oldest daughter.

I stared out the passenger window and cried all the way home from the hospital as she rode peacefully in her car seat in the back seat. She too was a perfect baby. She didn't cry much, she slept all night and nursing her was a breeze. It was me that was a wreck. It was then that I started reading Chicken Soup for the Mother's Soul books for some upliftment about parenting. It was very helpful. The pain of walking and just lifting my baby subsided with time. Time does not cure all wounds but it certainly decreases the intensity of them. As far as feeling better right now, take nice warm baths at night before bed, it'll help calm your mind and body so you can rest. And when it doesn't hurt to laugh (cause I know it does right now) watch your favorite comedies to take your mind off the million and one thoughts new moms have. Laughing was great medicine for me once it stopped hurting to laugh. Lastly get outside for short walks everyday. The fresh air will do amazing things for you from the inside out.

You will make it through this and you'll be playing on the floor with your daughter before you know it. Take time to relax and breath as often as possible cause I promise you she WILL NOT be cooperative for long, lol. Congratulations to you and enjoy the peace you have with your princess right now.

When dealing with post pardum depression you should absolutely make a follow-up with your doctor.

They tell you six weeks because they need to see that you are healing PHYSICALLY.

You aren't healing emotionally, dear. Do not be afraid to ask for help. 💜

I have my appointment tomorrow.... thank you ! I am talking to my husband, he is very supportive!
