Know about Pranayama-
*This is 4th aspect of spiritual Ashtanga yoga practice .
*It simply means extension/discipline of life force.{ Prana = life force, Yama = decipline)
*it is done via some very basic breathing-awareness exercises.
Pranayama -consist of 4 steps .
- Inhalation
- Pause after inhalation
- Exhalation
- Pause after exhalation.
5 best Siting positions for pranayama
Sukhasana - Comfortable Pose (cross-legged)
Siddhasana - Pose of the Adept
Vajrasana - Sitting on the Heels
Ardha Padmasana - Half-Lotus
Padmasana – Lotus position
Final Touch before the action-
a)The upper body is straight and erect
b)Head, neck and back are in alignment
c)Shoulder and abdominal muscles are relaxed
d)The hands rest on the knees
e)The eyes are closed
f)The body remains motionless during the practice

are you familiar with chakrodaya?
i am aware of the process but i have not practiced chakrodaya yet .
I do the above 7 breathing exercises only which takes around 45-60 minuets
Chakrodaya is a breathing Technic which is used for mediation where focus of breathing is on throat only .
