PPKM Impact, Income 80 Percent

During the implementation of PPKM, the income of traders in various rest areas decreased drastically. One of them is on the Solo-Ngawi toll road, Central Java.

"The decline in income of up to 80 percent was felt by traders in the rest area," said PT Jasa Marga President Director Solo Ngawi Arie Irianto in a press release in Semarang, Friday, July 23, 2021.

The traders in the five rest areas on the Solo-Ngawi toll road received 1 kilogram of sacrificial meat each.

"We deliberately distribute it to traders in the rest area to ease the burden due to being affected by PPKM," he said.

Therefore, he said, to help MSME actors who have businesses in the rest area, PT Jasa Marga Solo Ngawi distributed around 900 packages of sacrificial meat that were slaughtered during Eid al-Adha.

Meanwhile, the government has extended the validity period of the restrictions on community activities until July 25, 2021.

The extension of the PPKM was also followed by the extension of the policy for closing access to 27 toll exits in Central Java.
