$700 Million Powerball

The drawing for the second largest jackpot in US history is today, August 23rd. I'm gonna need luck - lotsa luck to win but still, it's entertaining to daydream about what I would do if I won the $700 million Powerball jackpot.

I'd first retain a tax attorney and set up a trust. Then, I would claim that money through the trust to remain anonymous.

Then, I'd buy a pick-up truck. A nice one. I would still drive my regular car around for the everyday commute but I'd break out the nice car once in a while.

I'd buy a modest house in a quiet neighborhood. Say, no more than 3000 sq ft with four bedrooms, three baths, and an over-sized garage.

I'd buy enough blue-chip stocks with high dividends to generate income and pay taxes and utilities with it.

I'd probably just work freelance and do some fishing.

Finally, I would not tell anyone about my good fortune. Not even my significant other because money changes people.
