Feeling Positive!!

There is a lot of negativity in general. Negativity coming from friends, family, coworkers, radio hosts, news anchors and yes even yourself. However, on the other side of things we can also choose to think positively. This will help immensely both with your mental and physical health. I wanted to share some tips on how to feel and be positive.

  1. Being Grateful.
    Start being grateful for everything. Be grateful for your most basic needs being met. I suspect since you are on the internet right now reading this then your very basic needs met and you have food, water and shelter. Be grateful for that! Be grateful for the people in your life including your family, friends, coworkers and relationships.

  2. Being Hopeful
    You will not be able to maintain being positive if you cannot be hopeful. Being hopeful will keep you motivated and inspired. It may even inspire others! Think about it. If you are a pessimist and down in the dumps all the time it is very hard to be positive. However, one day you will achieve your dreams if you can continue to be hopeful.completely-hopeful-orlando-espinosa1.jpg

  1. Affirmations
    They have to be meaningful and positive so you can really feel it when you say them. Pick a topic that you know you need help with or something you want to obtain. For example: if it is your health then recite, "I am happy and healthy at X lbs". Replacing "X" with the weight that you want to be. It is much more exciting and powerful repeating that statement then, "I would be happy and healthy at X lbs". If you are already happy and healthy apply this same method to something else. "I love driving my brand new Lamborghini down the highway" or "I am a millionaire" or "I am superior to negative thoughts and actions". Create your own affirmation or set of affirmations and start repeating them daily in your mind and out loud. Try experimenting with creating your very own and make sure to make affirmations a part of your lifestyle.

  1. Exercise/Diet
    Exercise and healthy eating habits should be done daily! Even if you can only get away with 20 minutes of exercise a day that will make a huge difference especially with a healthy diet. A lot of people will use the excuse I do not have time. However, in reality what they are really saying is I do not want to do it. Take ownership of your time and put the work in and the benefits will surprise you. Not only will you feel fit and light. You will release a lot of the stresses in life. To stay motivated and encouraged don't focus on the 6 pack abs. Start being grateful for what you do have and keep putting in the work.Diet_or_Exercise.jpg

In conclusion to feel positive you really have to work on your self awareness. Start being grateful, hopeful and using affirmations. Also, keep working on exercising and maintaining a healthy diet.
