There is a theory that all ICO startups, that claim that their goal is charity, philanthropy and other good purposes are scams. Why? Because in the fiat world, nobody gives share to those who are suffering. There are different charities, fundraisers and so on. Somebody does it for their reputation, somebody does to avoid taxes, somebody does it to launder money. There are even those who do it and expect nothing in return. I know these people and sometimes help them.
