Travelling to Portugal

I was born in Portugal many years ago and I am going back with my children and grandchildren this summer, the last two weeks in August. If anyone has any good recommendations on where to go and what to do with the family it would be very appreciated. We want to start in Lisbon and travel north visiting at least Porto before showing the family where I was born.
