I am sorry that you had that relationship with your father and that you never got the relationship that you wanted with him. But that doesnt mean you can't be the father you never had to your kids or anyone around you.
Make the change. Be the change.

That's what I am trying to do to my son. I hope I can always be with him when he needs me and be best dad for him. Wish me luck :)
