Dtube, Dlive, Dmania - Warning
Hey, hey, hey, wasu wasu wasu wasu
Here is the second @fervi account.
I was wondering why there are centralized platforms on Steem like Dlive, Dtube or Dmania. As you know, I created a bot time ago to detect plagiarism on Dmania. It turned out that 83.5% of the content was, if not plagiarized, it was heavily inspired by similar photos.
I have always wondered how such a platform can exist. It was never based on Steem (apart from the money they gave people), it should have been flagged long ago.
I hope that my bot showed that Dmania is a plagiarized habitat and that's why he removed the delegation from them. In my opinion, it's good because the plagiarism rate has fallen!
Interesting trends of Dmania
It's very nice that after the loss of the delegation, the plagiarism has suddenly started to decrease. In my opinion, this is a good step for Steem.
However, I am interested in a different trend. A lot of people ... dropping their memes. They created once (maybe it earned, I do not know), and after some time they throw it again. Why? I have no idea.
For example:

Of course, there are many such photos ;)
An interesting fact is that after reducing the delegation from ned the amount of plagiarism decreased from 83.5% to 79.75%. We will see what will happen next, because the trend is interesting.
I wondered if the creators of Dmania will contact me about creating a better bot that does not reward plagiarists, but not ... Nobody contacted. Maybe this situation is good for them, they get money from the reward rape pool, they sit quietly.
What's wrong is with cTube and cLive?
In my opinion, the concept of creating decentralized video playback is interesting ... but I do not know if it's real. Naturally, you can watch movies on a decentralized network like torrent (I'm surprised that no website uses the torrent).
From the beginning. dTube and dLive do not need Steem. Of course, apart from the money, Steem gives it so they take it. In my opinion, these platforms should not be supported anymore.
If I do a website that will allow you to download ISO from Linux and add "upvote with Steem", does it mean that I am now a decentralized platform and should I get delegations? The answer is NO.
The dTube and dLive platforms are not different from Youtube or Twitch. Maybe it will be cheaper to delegate them Steem Power?
But ... IPFS ...
In my opinion, IPFS is a dead end. For one simple reason, everyone knows Torrent, no one knows IPFS. Nobody will support IPFS and learn how it works, since it has been using Torrent for years and it is very simple.
Torrent networks were even used by people who are not IT specialists. IPFS is a failure (it can work in images, but not in audio / video).
Pool reward rape
Very many people do not like bots. For some reason, it recognizes that websites like Dube are good. I do not fully understand this logic, since one bot is bad, the other is also bad (if it does the same).
The idea of the Steem network is to deal with problems. If we do not do it, there will be more and more of them. We need to debate how the network will continue to work. Haejin works similarly, no one focused on him ... until he became so powerful that no one can do anything to him.
I believe that the prizes awarded by these websites are not rational. There are no reasons to give 50 - 400 upvote from one person, because he "supports their platform". It supports the platform with our (all) money.
In Polish culture there was a person like Janosik (such as Robin Hood, took away from the rich and gave to the poor). They hanged him. In my opinion, either Dtube and Dlive will take a serious job, or the best thing will be to abandon these platforms.
✅ @lordfervi, I gave you an upvote on your first post! Please give me a follow and I will give you a follow in return!
