Is Poloniex having a breakdown ?

We are seeing more and more of Poloniex temporary disabled messages popping up and now more so with Steem! Could our awesome Steem platform be taking its toll on our poor Polo friend ? Are we going to see a long haul of offline maintenance time to cope with demand? 

Shortly after Steem and SBD become available to transfer and withdraw again we saw it being disabled, it seems to me it cannot handle increased trading volume for an extended period of time which is a little worrying as it is supposed to provide trading around the clock. When we have crashes in major exchange sites like Poloniex then we see a lot of money lost which also causes lost faith and panic sales as people abandon ship. 

Are you using Poloniex? What is your take on the recent struggles and is it time to look for a more stable exchange as Steem and other currencies grow. I would love your comments on this subject fellow steemians. Please re-steem.
